Law Department Internships
Internship applications for summer positions are due no later than March 31. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as selections may be made prior to March 31.
Internships may be available in the following groups:
These are unpaid positions for students who have completed their first or second year of law school. We consider the following factors in reviewing an application:
- Academic record
- A sincere interest in financial institutions law
- Top 25 percent of their class (preferred, not mandatory)
- Relevant course work in financial institutions law, securities law, commercial law, administrative law, consumer financial law, trial practice, etc.
- Law school activities such as Law Review, clinical programs, and moot court, and financial institutions-related work experience (legal or business)
